Paulin Research Group Unveils New Pipe-Design Checklist15 Apr, 2008
"B31.3 Checklist and Rules of Thumb" is available as a free download.
Paulin Research Group, a developer of finite-element analysis software for the petrochemical, power, offshore, and chemical industries, released a new program titled "B31.3 Checklist and Rules of Thumb" for pipe designers and PPV engineers.
"B31.3 Checklist and Rules of Thumb" prints B31.3 notes and warnings, performs risk analysis, and gives guidance for critical flaw sizes, buried pipes, and flexibilities. To generate reports, users change the parameters (line size, temperature) to see how the warnings and ratings change. All the reports were designed and edited by Tony Paulin, original author of CAESAR II and member of the B31 Mechanical Design Code Committee.
The B31.3 piping checklist is available immediately as a free download.
