Q&A Series: Autodesk Subscription, Part 3
23 Sep, 2009 By: Cadalyst StaffDo I need to have all my Autodesk licenses on subscription or can I cover a limited number?
This Q&A is part of a series from Cadalyst and Autodesk in which the company answers readers' questions about its software subscription policies. See also the Cadalyst article, As Software Subscriptions Lapse in Down Economy, Autodesk Clarifies Policies.
Question: Do I need to have all my Autodesk licenses on subscription or can I cover a limited number?
Autodesk responds: Subscription may be placed on all seats. Subscription benefits will only be provided on those covered by an active subscription contract. For single serial numbers with multiple seats (in the case of network deployment or multiseat standalone) customers must purchase subscription for all seats of that type. Any seats added to a multiseat license during the subscription term must also be put on subscription, prorated for the rest of that term.
