Star rating: 5 stars out of 5

Cornerstone
has been a standard for those who require high-quality text display for
a long time and has lately gained inroads into the CAD and visualization
markets. The Cornerstone P1500 monitor is based on a short-neck Invar
shadow-mask tube with a 20" maximum viewable area and resolutions
of up to 1600X1200 at 85Hz. Dot pitch for this monitor is a very crisp
0.22mm. The horizontal scan frequency ranges from 31107KHz, and
vertical scan frequency ranges from 50160Hz. The bandwidth (dot
clock) is 230MHz. Although this monitor can't produce some of the higher
resolutions of other monitors tested here, it is outstanding in the commonly
used range that it does cover. You can upgrade the excellent five-year
warranty to site replacement. Dual mini D-sub connectors are provided
for use with two computers, and USB compatibility is available in an optional
hub that has one upstream and four downstream connectors.
During the CADALYST benchmark tests, the Cornerstone P1500 produced excellent scores across the board at our standard test resolution of 1600X1200 true-color at 85Hz. Combine this with a remarkable $849 ESP and you have a great bargain. Included with the P1500 is Cornerstone's BigMonitor software for controlling every aspect of the display. Cornerstone places monitor adjustments at your fingertips, as evidenced by the array of buttons on the bottom front bezel of the P1500. These buttons work in conjunction with an excellent on-screen menu system so you can make virtually any adjustment.
This is an attractive and a well-made monitor. It's hard to believe Cornerstone can produce such a high-quality display to sell for such a low price. Highly Recommended. R.L.
