AUGI Salary Survey Results

28 Sep, 2011 By: Robert Green

CAD Manager's Toolbox: Curious about CAD paychecks? Check out these figures from Autodesk User Group International.

If you don't use Autodesk products, you may not know about AUGI (Autodesk User Group International), but you should check out the organization's recent CAD user salary survey nonetheless. Even though the 2011 AUGI Salary Survey is Autodesk-centric, I've found it to be a reliable barometer of the CAD industry as a whole, particularly with respect to regional and discipline-based trends.

You can read the survey in the latest issue of AUGIWorld magazine, pages 6–13.

This survey delves much more into the production realm than my CAD Manager's Survey does, and it should help you gain a perspective about salary trends for your CAD users. I was very interested to note the results on job satisfaction, pay change, and job security. I'm interested to see if this year's CAD Manager's Survey reveals the same trends.

I'd like to thank Melanie Perry, who also writes for Cadalyst, for putting together this survey for the CAD community at large.
