Adjust Linetype Scale for Model vs. Paper Space

Change Space Without Changing Text Size

Shift Key Shortcuts

Cycle Through Drawings

Shapeways Offers Free Files of 3D-Printable Parts
Shapeways has launched a database of 3D parts files that can be 3D printed. The files can be downloaded free of charge. Files in the database consist of adaptable shapes and parts such as gears, hinges, springs, and axles.

New Inventor Fusion Trial Available Free
Autodesk is now offering a free download of its Inventor Fusion Technology Preview on the Autodesk Labs web site. The new digital prototyping technology is said to unite the power and control of parametric, history-based modeling with the speed and ease of use of direct, history-free modeling. The full vision of Inventor Fusion is in development.

Free Trials Available for Autodesk Navisworks 2010
Free 30-day trial versions are now available of Autodesk Navisworks 2010 for AEC or manufacturing applications. The new Autodesk Navisworks 2010 software is designed for managing, simulating, and reviewing design and engineering projects in 3D. The free trials are available to users who register.

FARO Offers Technology Test Drive
FARO announced the FARO Test Drive program, which allows potential customers to test the company's portable 3D measurement instruments for inspection, imaging, reverse engineering, and surveying for a nominal monthly fee. Participants receive free initial onsite training and setup as well as unlimited training at a FARO facility.

Maplesoft Wins 2009 Omond Solandt Award
Maplesoft, a developer of computational and simulation tools for engineering, scientific, and mathematical applications, received the 2009 Omond Solandt Award. Presented by the Canadian Operational Research Society, the award recognizes contributions to operational research and development of innovative and revolutionary mathematical software systems.

Applied Software Earns Autodesk Training Awards
Applied Software, a national Autodesk Value Added Reseller, announced it earned Autodesk Authorized Training Center Awards for 2008. Instructor Rick France was named Instructor of the Year for the Americas Group, and Applied Software’s Revit instructors received the North America award for distinguished performance in Autodesk Revit Architecture.
