Tip Patroller Brian Benton shares a reminder about how to quickly change the case of your text. Select the text to be changed, then press Ctrl+Shift+L to make all of the text lowercase. For uppercase, press Ctrl+Shift+U.
In Search of Rotate Text in AutoCAD 2011
At least one Tips & Tools Weekly reader has contacted us because in AutoCAD 2011, the Rotate Text command cannot be found in its usual location. Tip Patrol member Brian Benton updates us that Rotate Text is still part of Express Tools — and he uncovered it so you don't have to hunt. Under the Express Tools ribbon tab, go to the Text panel and locate the Modify Text button. Click the arrow to display a pull-down menu that includes Rotate Text as one of the options.
Cadac Organice Revamps Web Site
Cadac Organice, developer of a SharePoint-based suite of solutions for document management, has introduced a new web site with tailored information for various industries. The site includes a "Try & Buy" section, where visitors can download the various Cadac Organice modules to try those 30 days for free.
Eurocom Launches Youtube Video Channel
Eurocom, a mobile workstation technology provider, recently launched a Eurocom Youtube channel to improve customer relations and enhance customer knowledge about Eurocom products. The first two videos introduce the company's mobile workstation product line and the D900F Panther notebook system.
Open Design Alliance Releases Updated DWG Specification
The Open Design Alliance (ODA), a nonprofit consortium, has made an updated version of its Open Design Specification for DWG files available for public download. This release of the document includes specifications for the file format on which the latest release of Teigha for DWG files, version 3.3, is based.

E-on software, a developer of solutions for natural 3D environments, has announced the immediate availability of the Personal Learning Editions (PLE) of its solutions for computer graphics professionals, Vue 8.5 xStream and Vue 8.5 Infinite. The fully functional software versions do not expire and are for personal, non-commercial use only.
MAXON Releases Free Plugin for Adobe After Effects CS5
MAXON Computer, a developer of 3D modeling, animation, and rendering solutions, has released an updated CINEMA 4D exchange plugin for Adobe After Effects CS5. The plugin features 64-bit native compatibility for Windows and Mac OS X to allow users of CINEMA 4D to exploit available hardware operating system performance.
Geometric Offers Free Trial of Collaboration Tool for Pro/ENGINEER
Manufacturing software firm Geometric is offering a free 15-day trial of the latest version of eDrawings for Pro/ENGINEER. This release includes support for bill of materials information and an upgrade of the eDrawings Viewer version to eDrawings 2010 SP3.

National Institute of Building Sciences Invites Nominations for Institute Awards
The National Institute of Building Sciences' Awards Committee is seeking nominations for the 2010 Institute Honor Award and the 2010 Institute Member Award. Award recipients will be honored at the 2010 Annual Award banquet, to be held during the Institute's Annual Meeting in December.

CIMdata Names CAM Software Market Leaders
In version 19 of its "NC Software and Related Services Market Assessment Report," consulting and research firm CIMdata named the worldwide CAM software market leaders for 2009 and projected those expected to be market leaders in 2010. Dassault Systèmes, Delcam, Planit Holdings, Siemens, CNC Software, and OPEN MIND Technologies are included in the report.
