Save Table Styles and Create Templates
Frequent tipster Leonid Nemirovsky sends us a tip on using tables. "You can transfer table styles through Design Center; just find this drawing and drag the needed table style into your drawing." View the complete tip and post your feedback.
Find Elevations Using the Y-Coordinate
Greg Byrne sends us a method that he uses to help determine the elevation of objects in elevation views. "This tip allows quick reference of building heights and confirmation of notated levels." View the complete tip and post your feedback.
Match an Object's Rotation

Wohlers Industry Report Analyzes Additive Manufacturing
Consulting firm Wohlers Associates has published Wohlers Report 2010 ($475), a 250-page analysis of the newest developments and trends in additive manufacturing (AM) worldwide. According to the report, annual unit sales of AM systems worldwide grew by an estimated 13.9%.
CIMdata Releases First China PLM Report
Management consulting and research firm CIMdata has released its first China product lifecycle management (PLM) report ($3,500), which discusses major China PLM trends and issues, PLM purchase investments in software and services, PLM adoption in various industry sectors, and market growth forecasts that pertain to this economic region.
GlobalSpec Economic Survey Finds Tech Sector Optimistic
GlobalSpec, a specialized search engine, information resource, e-publishing, and online events company, has conducted an economic outlook survey of more than 2,000 engineering, technical, manufacturing, and industrial professionals in the United States. The results are available in a free research report, "2010 Economic Outlook Survey: How Industrial Companies Can Succeed in the Current Economy."

Spiral Graphics Offers New Textures, Updates Free Rendering Tool
Software developer Spiral Graphics has released its sixth royalty-free seamless texture pack, comprising 136 path and plant textures. In addition, Genetica Viewer, Spiral Graphics' free texture rendering tool, has been updated to version 3.5 and can now render textures based on photographic sources.
