Create Named Views from Paper Space Viewports
Tipster Danny Korem sends us a tip about creating named views in model space from a viewport in paper space in AutoCAD. According to tip reviewer Brian Benton, "Creating named views can help you in AutoCAD in many ways. They allow you to recreate specific views with a few clicks, they can be used for navigation in a file, and they can help to create new viewport locations." View the complete tip and post your feedback.
Offset to Current Layer
Tipster Mary E. Kipp sends us a time-saving tip for using the Offset command in AutoCAD. "One of my all-time favorite commands is Offset. Many people don't realize the time that can be saved by offsetting an object by layer." View the complete tip and post your feedback.
Create New Drawings from Sheet Set Manager
Frequent tipster Leonid Nemirovsky shares with us how he uses the Sheet Set Manager to create drawing files for AutoCAD projects. "I use sheet sets all the time, and as a rule I start new drawings from the Sheet Set Manager. The benefits are great." View the complete tip and post your feedback.
Toggle Files with Ctrl+Tab
Administration Manager Koby Maxwell shares a quick tip that will help you cycle through your open AutoCAD files. Tip reviewer Brian Benton calls this "a great time-saving keystroke combination." View the complete tip and post your feedback.
