Custom Properties for Sheet Sets

Visitors to the Siemens PLM web site can register for an NX software trial along with four complimentary training webinars. The training sessions are 90 minutes long and will be held each Friday from March 25 through April 15, 2011, at 2 p.m. ET. Anyone interested in discovering and learning more about NX CAD modeling software may attend.
IMSI/Design Provides Trials of TurboCAD 18 and Free Hatch Pattern Plugin
Retail CAD developer IMSI/Design is offering free trials of its new TurboCAD Pro 18 ($1,295) and TurboCAD Pro Platinum 18 ($1,495) software releases. In addition, for a limited time, buyers will receive the Hatch Pattern Creator plugin ($125 value) free with the purchase of Pro Platinum 18. The plugin is designed to create repeating patterns that can be used as brush patterns in designs.
Users Can Try Out Latest SolidGenius Release with Evaluation Version
MIP (Manufacturing Integration Products), which develops CAD software for mechanical design, manufacturing, and product data management, is offering a free evaluation version of SolidGenius V17 to users who register. The new release of the integrated application suite for PTC's Creo Elements/Direct Modeling features a new module for creating frame structures from profiles.

Dimension 3D Printing Announces Finalists in Extreme Redesign Contest
Dimension 3D Printing, a brand of Stratasys, has announced the finalists in its seventh annual Extreme Redesign 3D Printing Challenge. From the ten finalists in each category, a panel of independent judges from industry and the engineering media will select the winners this spring, awarding scholarships to the top three students in the categories of High School Engineering, College Engineering, and Art & Architecture.
DoD Recognizes NVision with Nunn-Perry Award
The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has named NVision Solutions a 2011 winner of the Nunn-Perry Award under the DoD Mentor–Protégé Program in partnership with Computer Sciences Corporation and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. The program assists small businesses compete for prime contract and subcontract awards by partnering with large companies under individual, project-based agreements.
Autodesk Names IMAGINiT Technologies Reseller of the Quarter
Autodesk has named IMAGINiT Technologies the North American Reseller of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of Autodesk's 2011 fiscal year. IMAGINiT was selected from more than 200 North American resellers for its significant growth and exceeding targets across industry-specific markets that include architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and design visualization.
Coordinate Metrology Society Extends Abstracts Deadline
The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) has extended its call for papers to March 18, 2011. The organization has received a record number of abstract submissions, and plans to offer a second track of concurrent technical presentations during the 2011 Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference, to be held July 25–29, 2011.
