Convert Inventor Files to AutoCAD Files
David Edward Gaskill sent us a trick for converting Autodesk Inventor files to AutoCAD DWGs. "I have had issues with the conversion from Inventor to AutoCAD; the process converts some of the views, but not all." View the complete tip and post your feedback.
Print to Single-Sheet PDFs
Tipster Maria Tzanetakou shared this tip, which makes printing an AutoCAD file to PDF a little less complicated. "While trying to print DWG files to PDF using the Sheet Set Manager, I found the hard way that I was unable to print the desired DWGs as single-sheet PDF files. The same thing happened when I tried the Publish command." View the complete tip and post your feedback.
Associative Arrays in AutoCAD 2012
Shawn Summers shared a tip on using AutoCAD 2012's new version of the Array command. "In AutoCAD 2012, AutoCAD introduced the 3D Array command, which makes 3D arrays possible. Also, a new feature in the command enables users to group arrayed items as one object." View the complete tip and post your feedback.
Adjust Printing Balloon and Layout Tab Settings
Tipster Carol McKeough shares two favorite ways to make AutoCAD more personal, by changing the display features for drawing tabs and pop-up balloon behavior. "I'm all for giving new functionality a fair trial. However, after that fair trial, I really wanted two things to work my way. For one, I wanted the old-style Model and Layout tabs back." View the complete tip and post your feedback.
