Paperless workflows solution developer Bluebeam Software is offering a free, 30-day trial of its new Revu v12 collaboration software. The program's new capture feature enables users to add multiple photos to any markup. Revu v12 also includes 3D PDF, a SketchUp Pro plug-in, AutoMark labeling feature, Batch Link document linking, and other new functionalities.
Engineers Can Try CivilCAD 2014 Free
Civil engineers can download a free, 30-day trial of CivilCAD 2014 road design software, which includes roads planning and design, upper and underground infrastructure design and pipes layout tools, earthworks calculations, and more. CivilCAD developer Sivan Design announced that the new release also supports ZWCAD+.
Free Trial of KeyMarkUp Multi-CAD Viewer Available for Download
Kubotek USA has made available a free trial of its newly released KeyMarkUp v12. The multi-CAD viewer enables users to view nearly three dozen file formats and aids in estimating, quoting, collaboration, and communication, without CAD software. Improvements include expanded multi-CAD viewing and export capabilities.
Free Trial of Altium Designer v14.2 PCB Software Available
Electronic design tool provider Altium invites printed circuit board (PCB) designers to register and try Altium Designer v14.2. The new release includes enhancements to the PCB drill table, enhanced indication of disabled PCB design rules, schematic support for vector graphics, support for global bookmarks in Smart PDF and for Subversion v1.8, and more.
New Live Connection Plug-in Free with Purchase of HDR Light Studio v4
The developers of HDR Light Studio are now including the HDR Light Studio Live Connection plug-in for LightWave, which offers real-time lighting sessions for the creation of high–dynamic range imaging (HDRI) maps with instant visual feedback. From the LightWave 3D viewport, artists can position lights directly in a shot.

Asius Technologies Named 2013 Autodesk Inventor of Year
The Autodesk Manufacturing community has chosen Asius Technologies as the 2013 Inventor of the Year. Asius Technologies, led by Stephen Ambrose, developed the Ambrose Diaphonic Ear Lens, a new type of earpiece that reportedly delivers richer sound using one-quarter of the sound volume of earbuds, thereby reducing hearing loss.
