Hard Dollar Joins Autodesk Developer Network

2 Dec, 2007

Partnership to facilitate generation of estimates and budgets directly from engineering and construction building information models.

Hard Dollar, a provider of budget- and performance-based project management solutions, announced that the company has joined the Autodesk Developer Network.

According to Hard Dollar, the company will work to enhance the flow of information between Autodesk and Hard Dollar software, allowing construction and engineering users to leverage project design data in the project estimating and budgeting stage. For mutual customers, the partnership is expected to result in a decrease in the time and effort required to create budgets and estimates by enabling the use of existing 3D object properties in Autodesk's design model to drive the creation of project cost models.

"Today more than ever, customers expect a seamless flow of information between the critical software solutions they use to run their businesses," said Alistair Johnson-Claque, president and CEO of Hard Dollar. "The promise of BIM requires close cooperation among the software developers whose products contribute to a complete project model, and Hard Dollar has set its sights on providing even further benefit to our customers through integration of budgets and CAD models."
