Localized Versions of Vectorworks 2009 Available in Europe
30 Oct, 2008Distributors have tailored software to meet the needs of local marketplaces.
Nemetschek North America has announced that a number of its major European distributors have released localized 2009 versions of the Vectorworks line of design software, including Designer, Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, Machine Design, Fundamentals, and Renderworks. The European distributors have tailored the 2009 products to meet the specific needs of their local marketplaces. Versions are now available in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland. Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands will be releasing the software in the next few weeks.
"Our localized versions are developed by Nemetschek North America and then enhanced to meet the local requirements in other countries," said Sean Flaherty, CEO of Nemetschek North America. "Through a close partnership with our distributors, customers are now getting the advantages of Vectorworks 2009 hot on the heels of the English-language release."
The 2009 product line is powered by Parasolid, the CAD/CAM/CAE modeling kernel from Siemens PLM Software. Given the large-scale modeling requirements of the AEC industry, the company believes the best way to build a strong modeling platform is to leverage the investment the manufacturing industry has made in software development.
