Report Shows the Benefits of Implementing Construction Project Management Software

25 Jun, 2008

Customer study details how businesses realize ROI from using project management solutions.

Meridian Systems announced the availability of a new research study from FMI Corporation that documents how organizations are using construction project management solutions to achieve qualitative business benefits and significant return on investment.

In March 2008, Meridian reportedly commissioned FMI to conduct an independent user study to analyze the impact to organizations using construction project management software from Meridian Systems. The report, titled "Utilizing Construction Project Management Technology to Create Best-in-Class Organizations," represents responses from a random sample of Meridian customers.

"Understanding the business challenges that drive organizations to adopt construction project management technology was key to this study," said Jay Bowman, director, FMI Services Group. "For most Meridian customers, the lack of document control and the need to standardize project management practices across their organizations were key drivers."

Survey results were tabulated and analyzed by FMI, and no individual responses were shared with Meridian, the company states. The report provides an overview of important buying criteria: the benefits enjoyed by companies adopting project management software, and estimated hard dollar savings as a result of implementing Meridian solutions. Additionally, customers provided in-depth interviews featuring further details on their use of construction project management technology.
