2 Jun, 2008

Latest update is certified for use with 3Dconnexion's 3D mouse and allows DXF/DWG file translation for machines running 64-bit Windows.

Nemetschek North America released Service Pack 3, a maintenance update for the VectorWorks 2008 product line, which includes VectorWorks Designer, VectorWorks Architect, VectorWorks Landmark, VectorWorks Spotlight, VectorWorks Machine Design, VectorWorks Fundamentals, and RenderWorks.

"We are committed to providing continual improvements of our software based on user feedback and internal testing. With this update, we focused on enhancing the behavior of referenced files in rotated plan, custom user origins, and design layer viewports when used in combination with each other," said Paul Pharr, chief technology officer for Nemetschek North America.

In addition, VectorWorks 2008 is now certified with 3Dconnexion's SpaceNavigator, a 3D mouse that can control and maneuver the 3D environment. Service Pack 3 also allows DXF/DWG file translation for machines running 64-bit Windows operating systems with 4 GB of memory.

The 2008 VectorWorks family of design software was released on September 13, 2007. To download the Service Pack 3 update, VectorWorks 2008 users can visit the About VectorWorks dialog box and click Check for Updates on www.nemetschek.net.
