Autodesk Offers Inventor iLogic Extension 2009

After its acquisition of the iLogic technology from Logimetrix in December 2008, Autodesk will now offer the Inventor iLogic Extension 2009 for Autodesk Inventor 2009 software. This free technology is available exclusively to Autodesk subscription customers.
Inventor iLogic enhances the parametric design capabilities of Inventor 2009 software by providing a powerful and elegant solution for rules-based design, the company states.
Inventor iLogic removes traditional barriers to the benefits of rules-based design. With its rules authoring capabilities and intuitive user interface, Inventor iLogic users can capture design intent and automate common design tasks by creating "smart parts" that can embed higher levels of design intelligence directly into an Autodesk Inventor digital prototype without the need for programming expertise, according to the company.
