Boss International Named Autodesk Independent Software Vendor
13 Feb, 2008Company's RiverCAD hydraulic modeling program will be integrated with AutoCAD, Land Desktop, Civil 3D, and Map 3D.
BOSS International, a developer of civil engineering hydrology and hydraulic software, announced on Tuesday that the company has become an authorized Autodesk Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner.
"We are extremely happy to be working closely with Autodesk," said Chris Maeder, managing director at BOSS International. "This partnership ensures that our software integrates seamlessly with Autodesk's AutoCAD, Land Desktop, Civil 3D, and Map 3D products."
One of BOSS International's products, RiverCAD, reportedly automates the Hydrologic Engineering Center's River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) modeling within AutoCAD, Land Desktop, Civil3D, and Map3D. Users can develop a HEC-RAS model, cut river cross-sections, and generate bridge reports and floodplain maps using an AutoCAD base drawing.
"By utilizing Autodesk's well-established CAD interface, engineers can quickly complete an HEC-RAS project in a minimal amount of time," Maeder said. "Participating in Autodesk's ISV program ensures that we can continue to offer cutting-edge products that are in step with the marketplace. Not only are we committed to improving RiverCAD, but we are also working to integrate our other civil engineering products into the Autodesk Civil3D environment."
