Free Public Beta Offered of IDX Variable Constraint Plug-In for AutoCAD

IMSI/Design announced on Tuesday that a public beta for an AutoCAD variational sketching plug-in is available for download at no charge for the next month. The IDX Variable Constraint System was developed to provide designers and engineers with more control over designs by constraining drawing elements geometrically and providing variables that drive dimensions. Driving variables can be defined by values, relationships with other drawn elements, or through complex mathematical functions.
The IDX Variable Constraint System incorporates the D-Cubed 2D Dimensional Constraint Manager from Siemens PLM Software. The plug-in is currently available for AutoCAD 2007 and AutoCAD 2008 base editions. Download the IDX Variable Constraint System plug-in at no charge through March 16. After that date, the regular price will be $499.
