Lynn Allen Earns CAD Society's Community Award

27 Mar, 2005

The CAD Society has named Lynn Allen the winner of its 2005 Joe Greco Community Award. Allen, AutoCAD technical evangelist for Autodesk and a Cadalyst columnist, will be honored at a ceremony on April 16 at COFES2005: The Congress on the Future of Engineering Software, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The CAD Society's Joe Greco Community Award (previously The CAD Society Award for Community) is awarded each year to one individual who has improved communication and developed community within the CAD industry. It has been renamed in memory of the late Joe Greco, CAD industry analyst and editor, Cadalyst writer, and former CAD Society president.

For the past ten years Allen has written the monthly Cadalyst column "Circles and Lines." She has taught at the corporate and collegiate level for 13 years and speaks to more than 20,000 AutoCAD users each year. "Lynn is a great person and is and has been an expert in just about all aspects of AutoCAD for many years," said Jeff Rowe, acting president of The CAD Society. "With her latest book, AutoCAD 2002 Inside and Out, she continues to show her dedication to helping the CAD community." http://www.cadsociety.org
