Open Design Alliance Releases DWGdirect 2.5 Beta

18 Nov, 2007

New version to support annotation scaling, DWF file underlays, partial screen updates, table and table styles, and implementation of new classes and methods.

The Open Design Alliance (ODA) announced the release of DWGdirect 2.5 Beta, which reportedly gives ODA members an early look at the newest DWGdirect libraries, as well as the opportunity to provide feedback before the completed version is released at the end of 2007.

DWGdirect 2.5 reportedly will include support for annotation scaling, DWF file underlays, and partial screen updates. Additional enhancements will include table and table style support and implementation of new classes and methods.

"I am both pleased and confident with the ODA's increased focus on quality and reliability of the DWGdirect software libraries," said Arnold van der Weide, president of the ODA. "Adding a beta release to the software development cycle is one of many processes the ODA is putting into action in order to successfully meet its commitment to ODA members for boosted performance and stability alongside a steady implementation of new features and enhancements."
