Draw an Arc to Length
Tip contributor Jerri Thompson created a new AutoCAD command that will allow users to draw an arc with a specific length. Use Sheet Set Manager to Route PDFs
Gizelle Santa Catalina describes how to use sheet sets to publish PDF files to the same folder for each project. "We normally have one folder per project where we put all PDF files that we issue. I find it helpful to use the sheet set manager, default output location, to set a path to that folder so that every time I save to PDF I don't have to browse as much." Ideate Explorer for Revit to Be Given Away at Autodesk University
Autodesk Revit users who complete a form at the Ideate booth at Autodesk University (December 3–5, 2013) will receive a free copy of Ideate Explorer for Revit. Ideate representatives wil be available to explain the latest updates to Ideate BIMLink and Ideate Explorer for Revit. The free software will be limited to one copy per firm. A free, 30-day trial is also available to website visitors who register.
Autodesk Issuing Rebates on New AutoCAD 2014 Purchases
Autodesk reports that users who purchase AutoCAD 2014 from participating resellers before December 31, 2013, can receive a mail-in rebate of $400 for a new perpetual license of the software. AutoCAD 2014 is the final version of AutoCAD software that will be supported on the Microsoft Windows XP operating system.

Canon Named BLI's 2014 Wide-Format Graphic Arts Printer Line of the Year
Buyers Laboratory (BLI) has selected Canon as the winner of its 2014 Wide-Format Graphic Arts Printer Line of the Year. The company received the award, which is based on cumulative test results in BLI's two-month evaluation, because of the overall strength of Canon's imagePROGRAF graphic arts product line.
Vectorworks Achieves IFC Coordination View 2.0 Import Certification
Nemetschek announced that its Vectorworks Architect software has passed Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) Coordination View 2.0 Import certification. The certified Coordination View 2.0 IFC Import will be available with Vectorworks Architect 2014 Service Pack 2, to be released in November 2013.

ASCENT – Center for Technical Knowledge has published four new Autodesk Official Certification Preparation books. AutoCAD 2014: Review for Certification; Autodesk Revit Architecture 2014: Review for Certification; Autodesk Inventor 2014: Review for Certification; and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014: Review for Certification can be purchased online or from ASCENT's booth at Autodesk University (December 3–5, 2013).
Kubotek Online Training Center Relaunched with Free CAD for Students
Kubotek USA has relaunched Kubotek University, which the company states has been updated and enhanced so that students and customers can more easily find content and review lesson materials for their Kubotek software products.
