Lightworks has launched a series of articles about Iray+, the company's interactive, photorealistic rendering software based on NVIDIA's global illumination Iray technology. The company will post a new article each month throughout 2015. The first Iray+ feature article focuses on the core functionality of the Iray+ render modes, detailing the advantages offered by each.

GrabCAD Challenges Members to Design Clamp for NASA
The newest design challenge from GrabCAD, an online community for engineers, asks participants to design and print a handrail clamp assembly to be used by astronauts at the International Space Station. The printed part will be analyzed to study the effects of microgravity on the fused deposition method of manufacturing. Entries must be submitted by February 17, 2015.
AMUG Offers Scholarships to Additive Manufacturing Conference
The Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) is accepting applications for two scholarships for additive manufacturing and 3D printing education and professional development at AMUG's annual conference. The scholarships will cover travel, lodging, meals, and conference registration fees. Applications must be received by February 27, 2015.
European Revit Conference Issues Call for Abstracts
The third Revit Technology Conference (RTC) Europe invites potential presenters to submit an abstract to be considered for the RTC Europe 2015 program. Successful applicants will present in either a 75-minute session or a 75- or 150-minute lab. Abstracts must be submitted by February 19, 2015.
MCAD: Aras Flow
Aras, a provider of enterprise product lifecycle management (PLM) software, announced the release of Aras Flow, an integrated mobile tablet app for Aras Innovator v11. Aras Flow enables users to collaborate and work remotely. The Windows 8 app also provides mobile-specific capabilities such as picture taking, video capture, and audio recording.
