Scanners: SD One Wide-Format Scanner
Contex has released the SD One wide-format scanner, designed for the desktop. The Energy Star–certified SD One has built-in cloud connectivity; scans 36" documents at 600 dpi; and includes Automatic Image Quality for instant cleanup and alignment. Scanned images can be saved to multiple file formats, and the software is available in a variety of languages.
AEC: IMAGINiT FM and BIM Connection Service
IMAGINiT Technologies has launched its FM and BIM Connection Service, which enables AEC firms to share building information modeling (BIM) data in an integrated workplace management system, ARCHIBUS, rather than trying to manage building operations using CAD files, the company reports. IMAGINiT provides one-to-one virtual training so that AEC firms can demonstrate the value they're providing customers.
