GlobalSpec, Aras Team Up to Deliver Web-based Part Search Services

GlobalSpec, a search engine, information services, and e-publishing company, entered into a partnership with Aras Corporation, a Microsoft enterprise open-source software provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions.
Through this relationship, Aras users reportedly can search for products, parts, components, and services within the Aras solution for PLM by specification and access the entire GlobalSpec library of more than 180 million searchable product specs in 2.3 million product families from over 24,000 searchable supplier catalogs. Additionally, users will have access to The Engineering Web, more than 250 million Web pages consisting of engineering and technical content powered by GlobalSpec.
